For families

Get started with Ready Steps

Your ABA clinic recommended Ready Steps. You can use it without connecting to your clinic. Your clinic sees your child's information only if you connect.

1. Get access

Ready Steps is in active development, so public app download links are not available yet. Join the waitlist for access updates, or ask our team about access.

Join the waitlist

When access is available to you, our team will provide approved installation instructions for supported phones and tablets. Follow them on the parent's device and the child's device. Joining the waitlist does not create an account, and a clinic code does not unlock app access.

2. Set up your family

Already have an account? Open the parent app and sign in with your existing account. Do not create another account. If needed, use the sign-in screen's password reset. Then go to step 3.

  1. Open Ready Steps on the parent's device and choose Create Account. Use a caregiver's email address and complete email verification. Follow the subscription and setup prompts shown in the app.
  2. In Parent Mode, open Children & Devices, enter your child's name and choose Add Child. Add each child separately.
  3. Use the device enrollment controls in Children & Devices to set up the child's device with that profile. Follow the app's device-permission prompts for screen-time rewards. Available controls depend on the device and operating system.
  4. Continue your family's learning setup.

3. Connect with your ABA clinic (optional)

Your clinic code

Ask your clinic for its code if you choose to connect.

  1. In the parent app, open Children & Devices and choose Connect [your child's name] with a clinic for the child you want to connect.
  2. Enter the clinic code and choose Find clinic. Opening this page, scanning a link or entering a code does not submit a request.
  3. Check the named child and clinic on the confirmation screen. Only if you want that clinic to see that child's information, choose Connect to explicitly confirm caregiver consent. Choose Cancel to leave without submitting.

Each child's connection is separate. You can withdraw a pending request or disconnect from the parent app at any time.

After you send a request

  • Pending: a clinic owner or admin must approve the child's request before the clinic can access their information. A clinician must also be assigned to the child. If this child was already approved, explicitly confirming consent can reconnect them immediately.
  • Declined: the child stays outside the clinic's caseload. Talk to the clinic before trying again; you can submit a new request through the same confirmation flow.
If something goes wrong
  • Missing, invalid or unavailable code: ask your clinic for its current code. A code may have changed, or the clinic may no longer accept requests. The app verifies availability; the format shown here is not proof of an active clinic.
  • Interrupted sign-in or setup: return to the parent app with the same account and resume the unfinished step. Reopen this link to copy the code again. If a request may have been sent, refresh clinic connections and check its status before retrying.
  • Temporary error: try again in the app. Clinic-code problems never prevent standalone family setup or use.
